More children are the victim of abuse here in Duval County than many other counties in Florida. In fact, the rate is 26 percent higher in Jacksonville than the state average. The latest numbers which are from 2024 reveal more than 400 children between 5 years old to 11 were abused in Duval County. Kacey Bell is a mental health counselor and behavioral analyst from Daniel, one of state's oldest child- serving agencies and joins us this morning.
