This weekend you have a chance to learn more about some of the Charter schools in Duval County. According to the district, there are 44 charter schools serving grades kindergarten through 12th. They are public schools that operate under a performance contract with the Duval County school board. They are intended to expand school choice options for students. Christina Hamlin is the deputy superintendent of Charter Schools USA.
