News4JAX+ at 10 a.m.: UNF Heat Labs open
As we track an elevated heat index this week, making it dangerous to spend a lot of time outside without drinking plenty of water, we are having a deeper conversation this morning about research involving your safety and the heat. The University of North Florida just opened the Perry Weather Heat Lab last month at the university's Korey Stringer Institute. It will study the impact our heat has on student-athletes the military and employers who have employees who work in the heat. Dr. Gabrielle Brewer and Dr. Michael Szymanski work at the institute and join us this morning.
