More than $1B of Jacksonville mayor’s budget proposal earmarked for JSO, JFRD

Mayor Donna Deegan is pushing what she considers a major investment in Jacksonville’s first responders, with $638 million allocated for the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, and $387 million proposed for the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.
