An inside look at the very first permanent Ripley’s Believe it or Not! museum in St. Augustine

We're highlighting one piece of St. Augustine’s history right on San Marco Avenue. From a grand winter home in 1887 to a luxury hotel in the 1940s, Castle Warden has quite a history, including a suspicious fire and tales of hauntings that still linger today. Even Robert Ripley himself dreamed of turning it into one of his oddity museums. That dream came true 75 years ago this December, when the St. Augustine site became the very first permanent Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum.
