Florida Poison Control talks about encouraging reports showing drop in drug-related deaths
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement reports drug-related deaths dropped 14% statewide in 2024. Opioid deaths fell 32%, and fentanyl deaths dropped 35%. Still, more than 4,000 people died from overdoses last year. Mike McCormick from Florida Poison Control joined The Morning Show on Friday to explain how we can keep this progress going.
