Learn something new to avoid cognative decline

Kris Wilson ofModified Independenceand Carrie Wilson ofCarrie Wilson Makeupjoined the show to share their latest passions—Kris is learning Spanish, while Carrie has taken up DJing. Kris explained that challenging ourselves with new activities as we age can significantly lower the risk of cognitive decline. Research suggests that every seven years, we should intentionally pursue something new—whether it’s a hobby, a physical activity, or a language. Not only does this keep the brain working harder, but it can also spark joy and ignite a fresh sense of purpose.
