Fleming Island star Mikayla Shavers leads the Varsity 4 All-News4JAX girls track team

Varsity 4 All-News4JAX girls track and field athlete of the year Mikayla Shavers had been oh so close to a triple jump state championship in her freshman and sophomore seasons, coming in as state runner-up both years by a combined 6 inches. This year, the junior star finally completed her mission. And she's still going strong.
