Throwback Thursday: Rex Morgan coaching the Jacksonville Hooters

On Throwback Thursday, we’re looking back to when the iconic Rex Morgan was in charge and leading the Jacksonville Hooters basketball franchise in the USBL. Long before Morgan became one of the best high school coaches in state history, he was leading the Hooters at the Jacksonville Coliseum. The Hooters would eventually become the Shooters and later the Barracudas. Morgan was a star guard for the Jacksonville University men’s basketball team, helping the Dolphins reach the 1970 NCAA championship game against UCLA.
