Varsity 4: Tracking local players who are eligible for this week’s NFL draft

The NFL draft spans three days this week and quite a few locals are hoping to hear their names called. Mandarin product Carson Beck is generally considered the most visible local player who is eligible for the draft, but his landing spot has been projected to run the gamut from a potential Day 1 pick to a late Day 3 pick. Tackle Austin Barber (Trinity Christian) and cornerback Jadon Canady (Sandalwood) are two other players who could hear their names called, at the earliest, on Friday. Rounds 2 and 3 are Friday followed by the finale on Saturday (Rounds 4-7).
