June 18, 1990: 13 employees and customers shot at GMAC loan office in Baymeadows

A 42-year-old Jacksonville man walked into the offices of General Motors Acceptance Corporation in Deerwood Center office park and shot 13 employees and customers, killing eight and wounding five others, before turning the gun on himself. One of the wounded died days later, bringing the number of victims killed to nine.
