Jacksonville Man to Appeal Sentence After More Than Two Decades
The Jacksonville man convicted as a teenager— of murdering 8-year old Maddie Clifton more than 2 decades ago-- is appealing his sentence to the Florida Supreme Court. Joshua Phillips was 14-years old when he beat, stabbed, and hid the little girl's body under his water bed for a week. Phillips was sentenced to life in prison.
