If things have felt extra warm lately, it’s not your imagination. Summer doesn’t officially arrive until later this month, but it already feels like summer across Jacksonville. Recent mornings have been hot and very humid, with early temperatures in the mid-70s to low 80s, especially around the coast. Mayport, for example, tends to be the warmest spot in the early mornings.
