JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The 54th annual Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival is set for May 5th-7th in Fernandina Beach, FL. The popular event celebrating our favorite crustacean and the rich history of Fernandina Beach will have near perfect, spring-like weather for the festival.
Chances for showers are long gone by the time the opening ceremonies get going on Friday evening at 6:00p.m. Temperatures will be cooling out of the mild mid 70s and dropping through the 70s and into the 60s overnight under clearing skies. It will be breezy, even into the evening hours on Friday night. Winds will be out of the West between 10 and 15 mph. When the fireworks start at 9:15p.m. the temperatures will be in the mid to low 60s- light jacket weather.

Saturday will be mild and sunny, with light winds out of the Northwest between 5 and 10 mph. There isn't a chance for showers, and skies will remain clear and sunny. Afternoon temperatures will warm into the mid to upper 70s with low humidity, making for a beautiful and spring-like day to eat as many shrimp as humanly possible.
Sunday will be a touch warmer, but still beautiful. expect sunny skies and mild temperatures turning warm as we top out at 80°. Winds will be light, out of the West around 7 mph.
