Partly cloudy skies and hot temperatures before the rain returns

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – We’ll see more sunshine midday under partly cloudy skies. Winds westerly between 5-10 mph. Temperatures will be in the mid-to-upper 80s, feeling like low 90s. Overnight lows will drop into the upper 60s. Be sure to stay hydrated and inside with the AC on if you’re susceptible to high heat illnesses.

Monday morning: early morning showers along the coast will be a factor until after sunrise. Winds from the NE 10-15 mph with some gusty winds up to 25 mph late morning will usher in more rain and isolated thunderstorms through late afternoon. Highs in the low 80s.

Hazards: isolated thunderstorms bring the potential for heavy downpours, strong winds and the possibility of hail. High heat returns later in the week.
