JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Heavy rains Saturday could cause localized flooding in Southeast Georgia and northern Northeast Florida as a frontal boundary stalls bringing in rainy conditions throughout the weekend. Isolated flooding is possible along with heavy downpours. Frequent lightning and gusty winds are likely with scattered thunderstorms.
Timeline for strongest storms
Rounds of rain with isolated thunderstorms are expected after lunchtime through the evening.
The stormy weather is expected to impact counties south of I-10 later in the afternoon, early evening.
Rainfall forecast
After several high heat days, partly cloudy skies will keep temperatures in the low-to-mid-90s on Saturday with feels-like temperatures staying just below Heat Advisory levels of 105 degrees.
