Rain with thunderstorms continues along our coastal counties.
Rain and thunderstorms are moving across Duval and St. Johns counties as light rain moves over Flagler and Putnam counties.
The storms will weaken over the next hour with showers and storms possible overnight. Locally heavy rain will be possible overnight and Tuesday.
So far today 0.75 to 3.0 inches of rain has fallen near and along I-95 from Duval to Flagler County with multiple reports of more than 2 inches of rain across southern St. Johns County.
The strong northeasterly winds continue this week, bringing white capped waves and a high risk for Rip Currents. Flooding will be possible at times of high tide.
The Rip Current risk will continue through late Tuesday and the Coastal Flood Advisory continues through early Wednesday. This may be extended as the northeast wind continues through the week.
Tonight: Breezy with showers, storms and rain possible. Wind: NE 10 - 15 mph.
Tuesday: Cloudy skies, rounds of rain and breezy. Flooding will be possible along the Intracoastal, River and tributaries at times of high tide. Wind conditions, especially along the beaches, NE 10- 15 mph, increasing to 15 - 20 mph with stronger gusts during the afternoon. Lows in the 60s and 70s. Afternoon highs in the 80s inland, 70s to low 80s along the beaches. Rain chances 60-80 percent.
Looking ahead: Rounds of wet weather continue on Wednesday with drier conditions, although still breezy, Thursday and Friday.
