Coastal Flood Advisories Extended Through Thursday Midnight

Cooler mornings and drier days ahead

River Levels (.)

Coastal Flood Advisories have been extended through Thursday at 12:00 a.m. Rounds of persistent rain have led to some areas of Duval and St. Johns counties receiving more than 2 inches so far today. The elevated northeasterly flow, along with our already bloated River and Intracoastal waterways, will lead to minor flooding at times of high tide.

Showers with thunderstorms will mainly affect the northeast Florida beaches and coastal counties as most of southeast Georgia remains dry.

Warmer Wednesday with a few showers and storms possible along our southern counties as drier air moves in from the north. The pattern continues on Thursday and Friday.

Tonight: Breezy with showers, storms, some locally heavy. Wind: NE 10 - 15 mph with stronger gusts.

Wednesday: Cloudy skies early then becoming partly cloudy and warmer. Showers will be possible along our southern counties, 30-50 percent. Coastal Flood Advisories have been extended and flooding will be possible along the Intracoastal, River and tributaries at times of high tide. Wind conditions, especially along the beaches, NE 10- 15 mph, increasing to 15 - 20 mph with stronger gusts during the afternoon. Lows in the 60s and 70s. Afternoon highs in the 80s inland. Partly cloudy and a little cooler overnight.

More rain to come (.)

Looking ahead: Cooler morning lows starting Thursday, through the weekend. It’s feeling a little like Fall...
