JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A series of fronts will have big implications on our weather as we head through the final week of October.

These systems will not only impact our rain coverage but will also impact the temperature and the eventual path of Hurricane Melissa.

Monday's front.

The first front will move across our area tonight.

Showers and storms will be possible at any point this afternoon and evening as the front moves across our area. The main impact of the front is that it will bring drier and slightly cooler weather to our area on Tuesday and Wednesday. High temperatures will be in the low to mid-70s.

Wednesday's front.

A stronger front will cross our area on Wednesday evening and will usher in chilly air just in time for Halloween! High temperatures will drop into the 60s on Thursday and Friday and lows will be in the 40s. Brrrrr! Make sure to dress accordingly for trick-or-treating.

This front will help steer Hurricane Melissa away from our area and, due to the upper-level winds, allow the system to turn to the northeast. This is why we always say the track of a system is highly dependent on fronts and other upper-level features.
