JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The rest of the day will be partly cloudy, breezy and pleasant with temperatures in the 60s and 70s. A strong front will be south of our area tonight, bringing with it much colder temperatures.
This front will usher in much colder air tonight into Monday morning. Lows Monday morning for many spots will be in the 20s and 30s with a widespread freeze likely north and west of the metro.
When you factor in the wind along with the temperatures, it will feel like the teens and twenties for many locations. As a result, a Cold Weather Advisory has been posted for the areas that will have a wind chill drop into the teens and twenties.
Make sure to dress in multiple layers and take protective measures for any outdoor vegetation, A widespread freeze is likely for those areas in the Cold Weather Advisory. A Freeze Watch also remains in effect for the same areas.
Highs on Monday will only climb to near 50s degrees with a mix of sun and clouds.
High pressure will move back into our area on Tuesday through most of the upcoming week with highs back in the 70s and lows in the 50s.
