Sunshine and warmth persist into weekend after Christmas

High pressure maintains dry conditions despite rainfall deficit

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The rest of the day will feature plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures! Temperatures this afternoon will be in the 70s. Temperatures will drop into the 40s and 50s tonight under a partly cloudy sky.

Patchy dense fog will be possible after midnight through Friday morning. Make sure to plan extra travel time.

Tomorrows high temperatures.

High pressure will remain overhead on Friday, which means we will see sunshine and pleasant temperatures. Highs for the day will be in the mid to upper 70s. This is around 10 degrees above normal for this time of year.

This weekend's forecast.

Little change is expected over the upcoming weekend. Saturday and Sunday will feature plenty of sunshine with high temperatures remaining in the mid to upper 70s. Beautiful weather for outdoor activities! Patchy dense fog will be possible each morning.

Cooler air is on the way as we head into next week.

A front will approach our area early next week, but no rainfall is expected with it. This front will bring much cooler weather to our area as we head into the new year! Highs will drop into the 50s for New Year’s Eve and Day and morning temperatures will drop into the 30s.

We certainly could use the rain, but little if any is in the forecast through the end of the year. Many spots will end the year with over a 10” rainfall deficit and looking ahead into the new year it looks dry.
