Southeast Georgia, Northeast Florida face another warm day before a chilly end to 2025

Dense Fog Advisory until 10 a.m.

Sunday forecast

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – All counties are under a Dense Fog Advisory until 10 a.m. with some spots reporting less than a quarter mile of visibility. If you need to be on the roadways, be sure to slow down, use your low beam headlights, and keep plenty of distance between you and the car ahead of you.

Get ready to enjoy another warm day on Sunday, as temperatures are expected to stay in the upper 70s. It’s a nice little break before a cold blast sweeps through the region, bringing a sharp drop in temperatures starting Monday night.

Freeze likely Tuesday and Wednesday mornings

By Tuesday morning, many inland areas can expect temperatures to dip down to freezing or below. The coldest mornings will be Tuesday and Wednesday, so make sure to protect any sensitive plants, bring the pets inside, and be sure to check on vulnerable people who may need assistance.

Tuesday AM Forecast

Monday isn’t all dry, though. There’s an isolated chance of showers, mainly in Southeast Georgia and inland Northeast Florida. So if you’re in those areas, keep an umbrella handy just in case.

Along with the cold front, winds will pick up, with gusts possibly reaching 30 mph.

NYE forecast

After the cold blast, temperatures will settle back into the normal range starting Thursday. The next chance of rain comes Saturday, so the rest of the week looks mostly dry and seasonable.
