Temperatures to climb into the 70s this week

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Temperatures will fall into the 40s and 50s tonight under a mostly cloudy sky.

A coastal trough will develop offshore on Monday. A few spotty showers can’t be ruled out along the coast. Highs for the day will be in the mid to upper 60s.

High pressure will bring warmer temperatures to our area this week.

A large area of high pressure will move over our region for most of the upcoming week. This will bring our area warmer temperatures and more sunshine. Highs will soar into the low to mid 70s on Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs will then climb into the upper 70s on Thursday and Friday.

Seven day rainfall forecast.

Little if any rainfall is expected this week thanks to the large area of high pressure over our region. A front later this week could bring a better chance of a few showers to our area.
