Cold air blast to bring freezing temperatures Monday morning

Freeze warning in effect as temperatures drop to 20s and 30s

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – After seeing a cold steady rain earlier today, look for drier weather for the rest of the day. Cloud cover will decrease as drier air moves in and it will remain breezy and chilly. Temperatures will be steady in the 40s, which is well below normal for this time of year.

A FREEZE WARNING is in effect for Monday morning.

Behind Sunday’s system, another shot of cold air will move into our area Monday morning. A widespread freeze will occur with temperatures dipping down into the 20s and 30s. A FREEZE WARNING is in effect during this timeframe.

A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect for Monday morning.

When you factor in the wind, it will feel like the teens and twenties in the morning across our area. As a result, a COLD WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect for our Florida counties Monday morning. Make sure to dress in multiple layers if you are going to be outside Monday morning. Frostbite can occur with any exposed skin in minutes.

High pressure will be overhead for most of the upcoming week, which means we will see more sunshine. Temperatures will remain near or below normal through the middle of the week with highs in the 50s to low 60s. Another frost and freeze will be possible Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
