LIVE RADAR: Expect a wet Sunday throughout Northeast Florida, Southeast Georgia ahead of another freeze

Cold weather alerts have been issued for a frigid Monday morning

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Sunday will be wet and chilly across our region before the freezing weather returns overnight.

Mild start to your Sunday with temperatures in the upper 40s in Southeast Georgia to low 50s in Northeast Florida. While the rainy weather will be gloomy and chilly, it will move out this afternoon leaving behind clearing skies and cooling temperatures.

We do need the rain and expect .5-1″ in some spots.

The frigid air will follow dropping temperatures overnight into the mid-to-upper 20s.

Freeze Warning - 9 p.m. Sunday - 9 a.m. Monday. Expect temperatures areawide in the mid-to-upper 20s, low 30s. Be sure to prepare your people, pets, plants, and pipes for another few days of freezing temperatures.

Cold Weather Advisory - 1 a.m. Monday - 9 a.m. Monday. Expect wind chills as low as 22 degrees.
