JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Like the past few days, Saturday will be pleasant as temperatures warm into the lower 70s for most. Winds will shift from northeast to east/southeast as the high pressure to our north moves offshore. Increasing high clouds are expected, especially north and west. Temperatures will be slightly warmer inland and remain in the 60s closer to the coast.
Tonight, clouds increase further as a low-pressure system and front approach from the northwest. Most areas should stay dry through early Sunday morning, though a few isolated showers may develop late. Overnight lows will be milder, mainly in the 50s.
Widespread, beneficial rainfall is forecast from Sunday through Monday
Some areas, especially along and north of I-10, could see locally heavy downpours.
Isolated to scattered strong or severe thunderstorms are possible Sunday into Sunday evening, along with breezy to windy conditions.
Extreme drought conditions continue for our region
Therefore, no unnecessary burning and be vigilant about sparks or open flames that could cause the dry, brittle grass to catch fire.
