From fog to spring: warm temperatures ahead in Northeast Florida, Southeast Georgia

Dense Fog Advisory through 9 a.m. north of I-10, Southeast Georgia counties

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Another foggy start across the area, not as dense as yesterday morning. Plan for a pleasant day ahead, with the possibility of afternoon showers, perhaps an isolated thunderstorm developing inland along I-75 as the east coast sea breeze pushes west during the day, later this afternoon and early evening.

Thursday rain chances

Temperatures stay above normal in the low-to-mid 80s inland, mid-to-upper 70s along the coast. Warm overnight temperatures stay in the low 60s.

Chance of fog returns again Friday morning with warmer temperatures. Near-record highs in Gainesville can’t be ruled out, along with a 10-20% chance of rain. Onshore flow continues to keep temperatures at the beach cooler than inland highs in the mid-80s.

Looking ahead to the Gate River Run forecast!
