It’s a Saturday for all weather types in northeast Florida, southeast Georgia

Summerlike highs continue with little rain in the forecast as extreme drought continues

Saturday Forecast

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – From running the Green Monster to remodeling your home, with grilling, beaching, and yardwork in between, today’s weather will suit everyone. Even if you love late afternoon showers, today is your day.

A breezy sea breeze will push any shower activity toward the I-75 corridor later this afternoon. Can’t rule out a brief downpour with gusty winds and possible thunderstorm activity.

Gainesville temperatures continue to hit the record high mark: on Friday, 88 degrees broke the 1977 record of 87 degrees. Today, the record is 87 from 2023.

Expect highs in the upper 80s for southeast Georgia and northeast Florida, except along the coast, where temperatures will stay in the mid-70s. Mostly clear to partly cloudy skies will prevail.

Tonight, sea fog development will follow the sunset under clear skies and light winds with temperatures in the low 60s.
