JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The rest of the day will be cloudy, breezy and cool thanks to the passage of a strong cold front. Temperatures will hold steady in the 60s thanks to a strong northeasterly flow. In fact, temperatures are around 10 to 15 degrees below normal for this time of year. Winds could gust up to 40 mph at times for the rest of the day.
Temperatures will remain below normal on Sunday thanks to the clouds cover and easterly wind. Highs for the day will be near 70 degrees. Winds could gust up to 30 mph at times.
The rip current risk will remain high throughout the rest of the weekend. Dangerous beach and boating conditions can be expected thanks to the strong northeasterly winds.
An area of high pressure will reside offshore over the extended period. Temperatures will slowly climb into the 80s over the upcoming week and rain chances will remain isolated.
In fact, the seven-day rainfall outlook shows some rain over our area. This will likely occur on Monday and Tuesday thanks to an onshore wind. Isolated showers and storms are likely each day.
