Models are leaning toward a slightly wetter pattern developing late this week and weekend.
All models are trying to develop scattered showers and thunderstorms starting on Thursday and lingering through Sunday. This is great news as the extreme to exceptional drought conditions continue area-wide.
Areas of patchy to dense fog are expected for inland areas from Wednesday through Sunday morning. Along our beaches, the onshore wind and waves will keep a moderate risk for Rip Currents through this weekend.
Tonight: Patchy to areas of dense fog.
Wednesday: A warm afternoon under partly cloudy skies. Patchy to areas of dense fog for inland areas then becoming partly cloudy with a light breeze. Wake up temperatures in the 60s. Afternoon highs in the 80s inland with 70s along the beaches. Partly cloudy with patchy to dense fog overnight. Wind: SE 5-10 mph.
Thursday - Friday: The Clay County Agricultural Fair is back April 2 - 12. A weak front will develop along our coastal zones, slightly increasing our chances for showers and thunderstorms. The rain chances will average around 20-30 percent as the onshore winds increase from the southeast at 10-15 mph.
Weekend: Rain chances will increase late Sunday through Monday. Overall, rainfall totals remain light with the GFS showing the potential for up to an inch of rain along our beaches. We need the rain as the Extreme to Exceptional Drought continues area-wide.
