It’s going to be a fair-ly warm day with isolated afternoon showers in northeast Florida, southeast Georgia

It’s opening day at the Clay County Agricultural Fair!

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Summerlike day ahead with highs in the 80s across inland northeast Florida, southeast Georgia, mid-to-upper 70s along the coast. Rising temperatures, along with sea breeze convergence, could spark a few afternoon showers/isolated thunderstorms. Never fear; the fair will go on! Sunscreen, hats, and a steel stomach will be key for a fun opening day.

Above normal temperatures continue through Easter

80 degree weather sticks around through the beginning of the Easter weekend with increasing chances of afternoon storms by late Sunday ahead of a spring cold front. Temperatures will drop to at/below normal beginning of next week.

Little drought relief in the forecast

Extreme and exceptional drought continues in our region. The updated map will be released today, but it is unlikely to change much due to the lack of rain over the past week.

The upcoming front should bring .5-1″ of rain to the area by mid-next week, providing little relief.
