Resource fair offers crucial mental support, resources for veterans

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida and South Georgia Veterans Health System will host a resource and suicide prevention fair on Thursday, Sept. 19.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. The event is free and includes a catered lunch for attendees.
The fair will include the following resources for veterans:
Women Veterans Program
Veterans Benefits Enrollment and Claims Assistance
Mental Health/Suicide Prevention
Homeless Veteran Program
Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Program (IPVAP)
Veteran Whole Health
Social Worker and Care Management
Toxic Exposure Screening
Lung Cancer Screening
VA Education Information
Health and Nutrition Information
Veteran Kevin Briggs, a renowned speaker and author, and Kevin Berthia, a suicide survivor and advocate, will be guest speakers.
