Bruce shares update on cancer journey, gratitude for overwhelming community support

I felt the need to address the elephant in the room on The Morning Show today -- my new hairstyle.

No, I’m not making a fashion statement.

For those of you who may not know, I have been diagnosed with a very progressive and aggressive form of cancer, and the new look was not unexpected.

It is a side effect of chemotherapy.

But Christy and I decided to take matters into our own hands after the pillowcases on our bed started to look like a bearskin rug.

Rather than go with the patchy, awkward look, we went ahead and shaved my head.

My fondest hope is that sharing my brutally honest journey and positive news about the cancer fight can help shift the narrative from fear to hope for many of you.

And I sincerely want to thank all of you for the thousands of well wishes, expressing support, kindness, and prayers.

They mean more to me than you will ever know.

It helps pave this journey with a solid foundation that will allow me to beat this cancer.
