Children's electric scooters recalled due to fall danger

Pulse Performance scooters were sold exclusively at Target

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Thousands of children's electric scooters are being recalled due to a potential fall hazard. The recall, by Pulse Performance, involves 8,900 Pulse Safe Start Transform electric scooters which were sold exclusively at Target.

The scooters were sold in blue and have two wheels in front and one in the rear. They have manufacturing date codes between Sept. 10, 2016 and Oct. 11, 2016.

You can find that date code printed on a label located under the platform. The date code format looks like this: XX(month)/XX(day)/2016 – 066QY.

If your child has one of these scooters, stop using it immediately and contact Pulse Performance Products for a full refund:

No injuries have been reported to Pulse Performance, but if your child has experienced an incident involving this scooter, you can report it to the Consumer Product Safety Commission here.
