Inbound traffic

If you are dropping off or picking up fans after, do so on Georgia Street between Adams Street and Duval Street. This is behind the Baseball Grounds, on the west side of EverBank Field.

No parking will be allowed on Bay Street from Ocean Street to Marsh Street starting at 9 a.m. Saturday. The roadway will be in a two eastbound lanes/two westbound lanes traffic pattern from about 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Inbound traffic patterns pre-event do not restrict access to any Downtown/sports complex venue.

Starting at approximately 3 p.m. Saturday, Bay Street will have three lanes eastbound and one lane westbound.
Signage will be posted in the downtown area to direct event traffic to parking lot locations.

Outbound traffic

Starting about 9 p.m., Gator Bowl Boulevard at Festival Way (WJCT) will be one-way north bound and Bay Street/Gator Bowl Boulevard starting at Lot “J” exit will be one-way westbound.

There will be one way traffic patterns away from the complex post event for 45-minutes to one hour.

Taxi pick-up is located at the North End of the stadium, near Gate 3. All vehicles for hire using the Taxi pick-up area must display a current city issued medallion. For more information, visit COJ.net.

Audible Traffic Messages

Audio Traffic Jacksonville will broadcast 'real time' traffic announcements during the height of Monster Jam this Saturday. The messages will start at 1:30 in the afternoon and continue through 7:00 p.m.

The free service is already offered to Jacksonville drivers Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. - 6 p.m., but it will be expanded to help drivers through Monster Jam.

The app is available in app stores for Android and iOS under 'Audio Traffic - Jacksonville'.

Tickets

Due to the high demand for tickets to Saturday’s Monster Jam, the Tom Bush Family of Dealerships Box Office at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena will be open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. Monster Jam parking and Party in the Pit passes are also available for purchase at the Arena box office.

Additional tips

Monster Truck fans are encouraged to pick-up their tickets from the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena Box Office prior to Saturday.

Arrive early; we recommend three hours early.

There will be limited parking in Lot J due to the Monster Truck rides

Pre-paid parking: When you purchase a ticket in advance of the event you may have an opportunity to pre-pay for parking. If you select this option you will receive a decal. If you have a pre-paid parking decal please have it visible to assist officers with getting you to your designated area.

Finding parking on event day: If you opt not to purchase parking prior to the event, please click here to view a map of parking in the area. Please remember to bring cash to pay for parking. Prices may vary depending on whether you park in public parking or private parking.

Take a picture of where you park and landmarks near where you park to make it easier to locate your parking spot post event.

When traveling towards the sports complex area Beaver Street and Monroe Street are underutilized; if you are parking on the west side of the stadium, these streets will get you to the parking garages and all the lots on the west side of the stadium.

No streets will be closed in the sports complex area before the start of Monster Jam. Sign boards will direct drivers into the appropriate lanes for designated lots.

All bridges are scheduled to be open on Saturday.Fans should try to cross the bridge into downtown that is closest to their parking space not the bridge most convenient to their origination point. For example: if you leave from San Marco and your parking pass is for Lot C, do not take the Main Street Bridge. Instead take the Hart Bridge and enter the stadium area that way. It will save time spent in traffic on the downtown side of the bridge.
Individuals entering the downtown area from I-10 East/I-95 North are reminded to be in the far right lane.

Persons attending events at the Florida Theatre and the Times-Union Center for Performing Arts are encouraged to use exit 352A/Forest Street (North) or the Convention Center exit 353A (South). Fans attending Monster Jam are asked to exit on either Forsyth Street, Union Street or Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

Variable message boards will be placed throughout the entertainment footprint displaying parking information during the event weekend. Please refer to the variable message boards for specific instructions on parking, not your navigation systems.

Safety tips

  • Underage drinking is prohibited. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with the Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco (ABT) will be enforcing laws regarding public intoxication, underage drinking and retail sales to minors.
  • Stay with your friends, stay in a group.
  • Before taking your children/grandchildren/kids to the event, take a second, pull out your cell phone and take individual pictures of each child attending the event. That way, if the unthinkable happens and a child gets separated from you, you have a picture of what they looked like that day and the picture can be immediately sent to stadium security and the police to help locate the child.
  • Make a plan with your children in case you get separated in the crowds.
  • Drivers, pedestrians and cyclists: Be alert and follow the rules of the road. For traffic safety tips please visit JSO’s Alert Today Alive Tomorrow page.
  • Above all else, use common sense.
  • Whether you are a resident of Jacksonville or an out of town visitor, please enjoy Jacksonville and all of the exciting venues Jacksonville has to offer.
