Consumer Reports tracks the prices of many of its top-tested products all year long, so it knows exactly when they go on deep discount. Its experts say they found some great deals in time for Father’s Day – with even more sales expected in the weeks ahead.
“This year, Father’s Day falls on June 19th and we’re already seeing sales on traditional gifts for dads like smartwatches, and fitness trackers, as well as power tools,” said Consumer Reports Shopping Editor Samantha Gordon.
An option for Father’s Day is the DeWalt Cordless Drill – a Consumer Reports Best Buy – that is now $143 at Amazon. Consumer Reports says the drill is very powerful and capable of driving even the largest screws.
As for new dads, moms and caregivers just getting started, Consumer Reports says June is a great month to score deals on strollers.
You can keep up your curb appeal with a string trimmer that you won’t have to drop five dollars a gallon for! The EGO Battery-Powered String Trimmer is a Consumer Reports Best Buy and is now $179 at Amazon and Lowe’s.
More sales coming soon
Consumer Reports says, toward the end of the month, keep a lookout for even more deals.
“Around the end of June, you’ll start to see July 4th sales kick-off at all the major retailers and you can expect big savings on big-ticket items like large appliances and mattresses,” said Gordon.
