Man Pleads Guilty In Ex-Girlfriend's Murder

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man pleaded guilty Friday to second-degree murder in the death of his ex-girlfriend.

Shirae Hickson is charged with killing Chiffon Bryant in January 2002. Police say Hickson gunned down Bryant inside a northwest Jacksonville hair salon.

Bryant was Hickson's ex-girlfriend and the mother of his two children.

Hickson had been a fugitive for more than a year when police caught him. He was arrested by a SWAT team in March 2003.

Under the terms of the plea, Hickson could get 25 years to life in prison. He'll be sentenced Nov. 9.
