JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – On this episode we do a deep dive into one of the most controversial things ever to happen in pro wrestling. It happened during the WWF’s (now WWE) “Attitude Era” in the year 2000.

That’s when the tag team the Dudley Boyz threw 77-year-old female wrestler Mae Young several feet through a table. It was a shocking clip that stunned the world.

The clip was meant to outrage the fan base but it actually made the Dudleys more popular in the era when anti-heros were popular.

What’s fascinating in this interview with Dudley Boyz member D-Von Dudley, he explains Young ordered the Dudleys to treat her like one of the male wrestlers. Despite her age (Young died in 2014) she was widely regarded as one of the toughest women to ever live.
