JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are looking for a gunman who shot and killed a cab driver early Friday morning in Murray Hill.

Police have identified the victim as 51-year-old Crandall Reed, known as Jack.
Investigators believe Reed was shot in the parking lot of the Boy Scout building in the 500 block of South Edgewood, but he managed to drive about one block to a Kwik Trip convenience store, where police were called. Investigators said Reed was found in the front seat.
Investigators would not say if they suspected the shooter was a passenger, a possible robbery attempt or a random gunman.
The driver's side of the cab was damaged, but police are not sure if that was related to the shooting.
No one is in custody in connection with the shooting.
Because the shooting happened in the middle of the night in a commercial and industrial area, police have not found any witnesses to the actual shooting, but they continue to investigate.
Some taxi cabs are equipped with surveillance cameras. Police have not said if Reed's cab had such equipment.
Police ask anyone with information about the shooting to call Crimestoppers at 866-845-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.
