Star Witness From Hartsfield Trial Sentenced

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man who was the state's star witness in the trial of the gunman who shot and wounded former Jacksonville Jaguar Richard Collier has now been sentenced for an unrelated crime.

A judge gave Stephfan Wilson six months in federal prison for his role in a 2001 bank robbery in Atlanta.

Wilson and his lawyer were hoping for a sentence of probation, because he testified against Tyrone Hartsfield. During Wilson's sentencing, his lawyer called on assistant state attorney Bernie de la Rionda to document that cooperation. But the judge still gave Wilson the prison sentence.

Tyrone Hartsfield was convicted of attempted murder and given a sentence of life in prison.
