ORANGE PARK, Fla. – Parents in the neighborhood where Somer Thompson lived said they are watching their children closely, even after Jarred Harrell has been charged with the girl's murder.
Channel 4's Scott Johnson came across a park full of children near the Orange Park home where Harrell used to live. He said each of the children are accompanied by an adult.

"I'm glad they found him, but it's still scary," said one parent. "It leaves a scary feeling that kids couldn't go out without an adult."
Parents said the months they waited for someone to be arrested for Somer's death were not easy, but they said it does bring a sense of relief.

"To know that he's in custody, there's no reason for me to be afraid anymore," said another parent.
Parents said, however, they are not letting their guard down.
