"I heard four shots in rapid succession, then I heard a slight pause, and I heard two more shots," a witness who did not want to be identified said. "A black female came out of one of the units -- I don't know whether it was the actual crime scene apartment -- and she was screaming at the top of her lungs. You could hear her everywhere."

Officers said they found two men in their early 20s dead inside an apartment. Police said there was no sign of forced entry in the apartment. They said they were questioning a woman found unhurt inside but police said that she was not considered a suspect.
Herman Sapp said he found out his son, Dimario Briggs, was one of the two men who were killed when his ex-wife showed up at his doorstep.
"I knew something was wrong," Sapp said.
Family members said Briggs didn't live in the apartment, and they weren't sure why he was there at the time. Briggs leaves behind three children.
"He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time," Sapp said.
Court records show that Briggs has been arrested several times on charges of domestic battery and drug-related crimes.
Police did not release any suspect information or description of vehicles in connection with the shooting.
Investigators ask anyone with information about the double shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
