?Carnival For A Cause? Fundraiser Planned For This Weekend

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Renaissance World Golf Village Resort and Concert will host Carnival For A Cause beginning Saturday.

It is a fundraiser to help 5-month-old Palin Rose Meyer. She has a rare condition called Prader-Willi Syndrome. The syndrome affects appetite, growth, metabolism and cognitive function and behavior. She is the only child in St. Johns County, Florida with this very rare condition. Meyer is the daughter of Teddy and Heather Meyer. They have been active members of the St. Augustine community. Teddy Meyer is the head coach of women?s soccer at Flagler College and Heather Meyer was a teacher for St. Johns County. Palin is currently undergoing growth hormone therapy.

The event will feature a dinner prepared with the direction of executive chef Brett Smith, fun carnival games and other fun activities.

Tickets are $25 per adult, $8 per child ages 4-12 and free for child under the age of 3.

On Sunday, there will golf tournament fundraiser for Rose on the resort?s Slammer and Squire championship golf course. It will begin at 3 p.m. The golf tournament is $69 per person and includes contests for longest drive, straight drive and closest to the pin.
