JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are trying to identify three men sought in connection with a grand theft at a San Marco jewelry store last month.
Police said that between noon and 3 p.m. Feb. 28, the thieves went into Miriam's Jewelry at 1966 San Marco Boulevard.
Police said a well-dressed thin, black man about 30 years old in a blue suit entered the store and posed as a customer trying to buy a specific type of silver jewelry.
A pudgy black man between 30 and 40 years old, wearing a blue ball cap, a green T-shirt and jeans also entered the store and began asking another employee for help with various items, police said.
An unshaven, pudgy white man about 30 years old, wearing a dark blue jersey entered the store and asked another employee to show him a diamond tennis bracelet, police said.
Surveillance video showed that the thin black man in a suit reach over a display case and removed multiple items from inside, police said. He pocketed the jewelry and calmly made his way around the store to the other thief and left the store moments later.
