Quick fixes for makeup meltdowns

Let's start with the eyes:  Have you ever noticed as the day goes on your eyes turn to "raccoon eyes." Makeup migration is normal, but you can stop it.  Think of it this way, you put powder over your foundation, right?  Well, you can also do it with your eyeliner. Go over a pencil with black powder. Powder will hold anything creamy in place a lot longer.

Now, let's talk lashes:  Do you have issues with clumpy mascara?  With so many on the market, you may get a migraine picking one for you.  Experts say your best bet if you have clumping issues is to try a lengthening style.  And remember to toss your old mascara. The shelf life for mascara is only three months.

Next, eye lids:  Does your eye shadow cake or crease?  Experts say what you're likely doing wrong is you're getting your foundation and powder on your lids. Just prep the lid with a little powder, and then go forth with your application.

Skin color:  If your skin is looking orange, you may be picking the wrong bronzer.  So instead of bronzer, when you buy your powder, experts say try another that's two shades darker and use that instead.

Moving on to the nails:  manicures that chip!  When you go to the salon, experts say  ask for a dry mani. Yes, the soak feels great, but it can lead to chipping.  And if you're doing them yourself, clean your nails with alcohol before you polish and always use a base coat.

Finally, the cheeks: Does blush just vanish? Always put it on over your foundation and powder.   And if it still disappears, experts say try layering the powder blush with a cream.  Another trick you can try is using your lipstick if the colors blend.
