JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 25-year-old man pleaded guilty Thursday to a second-degree murder charge involving the 2010 slaying of his 43-year-old mother.
In April 2010, officers discovered Jumar D. Henry's mother, Jennifer Ling-Henry, inside her West Sixth Street home.

The investigation revealed Henry went to his mother's home and repeatedly stabbed her with a steak knife. State attorneys said he then decapitated his mother, placed her head in a bag and left it in an open area a few blocks away.
Immediately following his plea, a judge sentenced Henry to 35 years in prison.
