Man receives 5 life terms for sexually abusing 2 girls

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was sentenced Wednesday to five life terms for sexually abusing two girls.

Earnest Demetrus Bolton, 42, was found guilty in October of three counts of sexual battery, one count of attempted sexual battery and one count of lewd and lascivious molestation.

According to the Office of the State Attorney, officers learned of sexual abuse between Bolton and the victim who is now 11 after the victim revealed that Bolton had touched her inappropriately and forced her to have sex with him on multiple occasions since she was 6.

During that investigation officials also learned that another victim, who is now 17, had been sexually battered by Bolton. She disclosed that Bolton would force her to have sex with him since she was 5.

Two of Bolton's life sentences will run consecutively. The rest will run concurrently.
