JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Dozens of flights at Jacksonville International Airport have been canceled because of a winter storm hitting much of the country Thursday.
Nearly 30 flights, including departures and arrivals are cancelled at JAX. The cancellations include flights to and from New York, Chicago, Texas and Washington.
Nationwide, more than 3,800 flights were delayed Wednesday, according to the air traffic tracking website FlightAware. At least 1,750 were canceled. Things are much worse Thursday, at least as cancellations go. More than 2,000 flights with U.S. ties have been scrubbed.
