Home being built inside EverBank Field grounds

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jaguars are teaming up with a local home builder for a stadium display that will be a first of its kind anywhere in the NFL.

Dream Finders Homes is building a two-story, 2,400-square-foot, four-bedroom home in the Fan Entertainment Zone at EverBank Field.

"My team and I were brainstorming ideas of how we could better enhance our marketing and sales and our relationship with the Jaguars, so we came up with the idea and floated it to the Jaguars, and they got 100 percent behind it," said Patrick Zalupski, president and owner of Dream Finders Homes.

Dream Finders, founded in 2003, is a locally owned and operated business that has grown to be the largest private home builder in Northeast Florida, Zalupski said. The company builds about 600 homes a year from St. Augustine to Nassau County.

Dream Finders Homes broke ground on "The Stadium House" on Thursday. It will be on display for 24 months and will then be moved to another location and donated to a local military veteran.

"That's a great way for the legacy to live on not only here but for many years to come in support of those who serve," Jaguars president Mark Lamping said.

Zalupski said his company has donated homes to veterans before and looks forward to doing so with the Stadium House.

"This is in line with our company beliefs and goals," Zalupski said. "We have a lot of former military members that work for us currently, so it's a cause that's near and dear to our hearts."
