Suspect robbed a cell phone store in May

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – An anonymous Crime Stoppers tip led investigators to the identity of the suspect in an armed robbery case in Ponte Vedra Beach.
A 46-year-old Duval County man was arrested on a charge of robbery with a firearm recently in connection with an incident at a business in May.
Edward O’Brian Squire, 46, robbed an AT&T store and is currently being held without bond in a St. Johns County jail.
An investigation ensued after detectives received a report of an armed robbery at the A1A North business on May 24. The suspect allegedly entered the business, displayed a handgun and ordered the store clerk to a back room
The suspect then took 20 cell phones, valued at over $14,000 and fled the store.
Additional evidence was obtained allowing detectives to obtain an arrest warrant last Friday.
Squire was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force without incident.
